Recovery Support Trainer

Full-time Position



Position Overview:
The Recovery Support Specialist Trainer will lead the training and development of all RSS team members. Working in conjunction with the RSS Supervisor, House Supervisors and Ground Monitor, the RSS Trainer will assist with the supervision of the RSS team. IN addition to formal classroom training, the expectation is for the RSS Trainer to spend a majority of their time "on the floor" directly coaching and working with the team. This is very much a direct contact role.
Work schedule to include alternating weekends with primary hours of 12:00pm to 8:30pm. Hours and schedule will vary to cover all three RSS shifts each month – based on the needs of the facility.
Specific Responsibilities:
* Provide "on the floor" real time coaching, observation and development for the RSS team across all
* Organize and implement a formalized classroom training program for the RSS team.
* Work with the HRBP and HR Assistant to ensure all training records are up to date and that all Relias
training for RSS staff is completed.
* Lead the RSS-specific portion of new staff orientation for all RSS team members.
* Working with the RSS Supervisor and Executive Director, provide analysis of RSS team performance and
recommend new systems, protocols and procedures for improved performance of the team.

Education and Experience:
* Minimum of 6 months experience working as a Recovery Support Specialist at RCA.
* Preferred supervisory experience in a health/human service-related field.
* Excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize workload.

supervisor that provides satisfaction for the customer within the resources that can be made available.

Work Environment: May work in a variety of environments including professional offices, clinics, hospitals, or outpatient
facilities. They spend much of their time actively working with patients and alumni.
Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to talk or
hear. The employee frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls. The
employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop,
kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move objects up to 25 pounds. Specific vision
abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision and the
ability to adjust focus.
Travel: Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-the-area and overnight travel may
be expected
