Outpatient Mental Health Therapist – IOP/GP (IN)

Full Time Permanent

A remote position, the Mental Health Outpatient Therapist plans, coordinates, and delivers medically-approved behavioral health treatment plans for our patients that inspire, motivate, and help them develop tools using evidence-based and person-centered practices.

Hours: 1:00 pm – 9:00 pm


  • Evaluate clients’ mental and physical health and/or problem behavior, assess their readiness for treatment, and articulate clinical rationale for recommended level of care
  • Work with clients to develop realistic and time-limited treatment goals and discuss options with clients, including their families if willing
  • Utilize recognized therapeutic modalities, such as CBT, DBT, psychoanalytic, motivational interviewing, and stages of change
  • Perform individual, group, couples, and family therapy/education sessions
  • Help clients develop skills and behaviors necessary to recover from their mental health disorders or modify their behavior
  • Teach families about behavioral disorders and help them develop strategies to cope with those problems
  • Refer clients to other resources and services, such as job placement services and support groups

Education & Experience

  • Master’s degree in social work, mental health counseling, marriage and family counseling, or similar human services field required
  • Licensure as an LMHC, LCSW, or LMFT required
  • 1-3 years of mental health clinical experience serving culturally diverse populations
  • Ability to provide treatment in a virtual (telehealth) environment is required
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to juggle multiple competing tasks
  • Strong knowledge of a variety of computer software applications (MS suite)
  • Clear understanding of HIPAA and other confidentiality requirements
  • Excellent customer relation skills as evidenced by supportive and constructive communication with all contacts including coworkers, patients, families, and referral sources


  • Group Counseling:Ability to facilitate psychoeducational and therapeutic process groups
  • Individual Counseling:Ability to provide counseling on an individual basis
  • Family Counseling:Ability to provide family counseling with or without the client present
